“Past & Present”, the August show at the Deming Art Center, honors 3 Deming artists. Ernestine Holmes, Moses Pastran and Jewely Mosier. The Holmes family has worked with the center to promote the showing of their mother’s body of work. She was a versatile artist who worked in water color, acrylic, pastel and also was a China painter. Moses Pastran, a lifelong Deming resident, is a graphite portraiture artist who is well known for his commissioned pieces, but his true love are the pieces of his family and friends. Most people know Jewely Mosier for her kindness and caring in working with people, but at the Deming Art Center she is known as an award winning photographer. We are proud to present this eclectic show for the month of August. The show will run from August 2-30 and the public is welcome to the artist reception on Sunday, August 7, from 1-3 PM. Gallery is located at 100 S. Gold and the hours are from 10AM-4PM Tuesday – Saturday with extended hours till 6PM on Thursdays.
