The Deming Art Center is excited to present the annual Recycle Show which is sponsored by Luna County and “Keep Luna County Beautiful.” Featured will be pieces of art made from at least 90% recycled materials and crafted by artists of all ages. Intake will be Wednesday, November 1. Show will be judged, and prizes awarded. Sunday, November 2, the public is invited to the official show opening and a time to meet the artists from 1-2:30PM. The show runs from November 3 – 28. Closed on Thanksgiving.

The Deming Art Center will feature the annual DAC Membership exhibit. Anyone who is a member is eligible to participate and there will be a diverse body of work on display. The show will run from October 2-30, 2025. Intake will be on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. There will be a time to meet the artists on Sunday, October 5, 2024 from 1PM – 2:30PM and all are welcome.

Check out the Fiber Show as the September 2025 exhibit at the Deming Art Center. This display will showcase the many talents made with paper, wood, leather, fiber clay, and small fabric items. “World of Cards,” is the theme for the July, 2025 exhibit at the Deming Art Center. This display will showcase the many talents of our local card makers - from greeting cards, to birthday cards, note cards, postcards and more. There will be a time to meet the artists on Sunday, July 6, 2025, from 1-2:30PM. The exhibit will be up from July 2-30, 2025.

The annual Luna County Fine Arts & Crafts Show will be presented as the June 2025 exhibit at the Deming Art Center. Featured will be local artists and crafters from Luna County. It showcases many different mediums including painting, sculpture, fiber arts, jewelry and more. Anyone living in Luna County is eligible to participate with up to 3 items. The exhibit will be up from June 3-28, 2025. There will be a time to meet the artists on Sunday, June 8, 2025, from 1PM- 2:30PM.

The show will exhibit bed-size quilts, along with wall hangings, challenges, dolls, bead art and smaller quilted items. Many will be for sale. The exhibit will be up from March 2-30, 2025 with an opportunity to meet the artists on Sunday, March 2, 2025 from 1-2:30 PM.

An exhibit devoted entirely to “Our Feathered Friends,” will be the subject of the September 2024 art display at the Deming Art Center. Stop by and step into a fantastical world of birds. The show will be up from September 4-28, 2024. There will be a time to meet the artists on Sunday, September 8, 2024, from 1PM- 2:30PM.

“Folk Art” is the subject of the August 2024 exhibit at the Deming Art Center. Folk Art has been described as art made from the heart and can be decorative as well as being created for practical purposes. The exhibit will be up from August 2-30, 2024. There will be a time to meet the artists on Sunday, August 4, 2024, from 1PM- 2:30PM.

The Potter’ s Guild of Las Cruces will present the July 2024 Fire and Fiber Show at the Deming Art Center. It promises to be one of their best.  There are 18 artisans and over thirty artworks.  Works vary from elaborate pottery and macrame hangings to fine figurative sculpture with a bit of fiber. There are ravens, tortoise, and ancient cliff dwellings to a warrior goddess with a tile and fiber crown. Pandora’s Box will be opened to view a vision ball of pottery, beads and fiber.  There will be at least one vessel of fiber and pottery flowers.  All work is for sale. This show will give the viewer a feast for the eyes and senses.  The many artful ways clay can be shaped, sculpted, stamped, formed, manipulated will be available and on display. This is brought to you by the people who make Empty Bowls possible.  There will be a time to meet the artists on Sunday, July 7, 2024, from 1-2:30PM. The exhibit will be up from July 2-30, 2024.

The local quilting club, The Quilting B’s will exhibit bed-size quilts, along with wall hangings, challenges, dolls, bead art and smaller quilted items. Many will be for sale. This year there will be two quilts that will be raffled off and a silent auction. The silent auction will feature several antique quilts, two antique throws, and some new quilts. The raffle and silent auction will take place on March 29 at 3 pm. The exhibit will be up from March 2-29, 2024.
