Stop in to meet the many talented student artists from the Deming High School on Sunday, April 5th, 2026 from 1-2:30 PM. It is always exciting to see what they have created, and we invite the community to support these young artists by stopping by to see for yourselves. The exhibit will be up from April 2 – 29, 2026.
Stop in to meet the artists of the 2026 Annual Quilt Show on Sunday, March 8, 2026 from 1-2:30 PM. The DAC turns into a wonderland of color and an exciting fabric display in March. The show will exhibit bed-size quilts, along with wall hangings, challenges, dolls, bead art and smaller quilted items. Many will be for sale. The exhibit will be up from March 2-28, 2026.
Join us for a special opportunity to meet Deming native and internationally recognized sacred artist Joseph Chavez on Sunday, February 8, 2026, from 1:00–2:30 PM at the Deming Art Center. This meet-the-artist event is held in conjunction with Chavez’s One Man Show, which highlights the significant contributions of Indigenous tribes throughout the Americas and will be on display from February 3–27, 2026.
Join us for a fun Candy Class on February 7 at 10:00 AM!
The cost is $45 per person, and you’ll be creating delicious Valentine-themed chocolate treats.
All participants will take their handmade chocolates home at the end of the class. Advance payment is required, and space is limited, so be sure to reserve your spot early.

The Deming Art Center is excited to present the annual Recycle Show which is sponsored by Luna County and “Keep Luna County Beautiful.” Featured will be pieces of art made from at least 90% recycled materials and crafted by artists of all ages. Intake will be Wednesday, November 1. Show will be judged, and prizes awarded. Sunday, November 2, the public is invited to the official show opening and a time to meet the artists from 1-2:30PM. The show runs from November 3 – 28. Closed on Thanksgiving.

The Deming Art Center will feature the annual DAC Membership exhibit. Anyone who is a member is eligible to participate and there will be a diverse body of work on display. This display will showcase the many talents of our local card makers - from greeting cards, to birthday cards, note cards, postcards and more. There will be a time to meet the artists on Sunday, July 6, 2025, from 1-2:30PM. The exhibit will be up from July 2-30, 2025.

Join us for a Watercolor Glass with John Glass on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, from 1 pm to 4 pm at the Deming Arts Center. John will be presenting a class in Andrew Wyeth style using the painting pictured with the event. The painting will be 8 x 10 with a 11 x 14 mat. This project will involve the use a pen to create some portions of the painting. All materials and paints will be supplied. The price of the class is $35.00 and must be paid at the time of sign up. Join us for an acrylic workshop in a bag class with Rebecca Bryant on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 13:30 pm to 3:30 pm at the Deming Arts Center. In this class you will receive a bag containing acrylic paints, brushes, paint tray, table top easel and canvas. Rebecca will be using two photographs for this class. You will be making your own creation and learn about composition. All materials and paints will be supplied. The price of the class is $75 and must be paid at the time of sign up.
